About the Artist
The work emerges from a painter’s way of seeing, shaped by physical painting experience and a sensitivity to restraint, tone, and material presence. It explores quiet strength, interior worlds, and the space between form and abstraction.
The practice follows a way of working rather than a fixed narrative; the paintings do not describe journeys or routes, but focus on surface, tone, containment, and visual presence.
While I use digital tools to translate my vision, the process remains fundamentally painterly. Each work begins with intent — decisions around subject, mood, palette, and composition guide the process. Whether exploring the softness of oil textures or the sharp precision of gilded forms, the evolution happens through careful iteration, rejection, and refinement. What remains untouched is as important as what is altered. Completion is not dictated by a system, but by judgement.
These works are authored through direction rather than manual brushwork. The tool generates possibilities; I author the outcome. What you see is a finished piece shaped by aesthetic choice, lived experience, and artistic control—not automation.
My practice sits at the intersection of tradition and contemporary process, honouring the language of painting while embracing new ways of making — allowing each work to arrive with clarity, restraint, and quiet presence.
